where is controlled start up folder?

It is located in Windows Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MetaProducts\Start Manager\RunControl

hi, thx for the reply. i do not have this key in the registry. (perhaps i have to create it??) isn''t there a way to access this feature of the program through the software interface itself?

Yes, it is easy - drag any program inside Startup Organizer to the Controlled Startup section in the left tree and everything will be created automatically. If you click the Controlled Startup section, you will see only the programs in this category.

why don''t i see this in the left hand window pane?

When you run Startup Organizer, its main screen contains categories tree on the left and programs list on the right. See the screenshot:

In the left tree the last item is Controlled Startup.

wow. now i see it. i don''t see how i missed it. to use this feature shall i place all the startup shortcuts in this area in the order i want them to start? i was thinking of placing only one.

You can place there any number of items - one or more. Just as you want.
