Hi all! I think this might be a common question but I can't find a recent answer. I downloaded my site and exported it to cd format and burned it to a cd. Now when I try to browse the site in Internet Explorer, it all works, except the links to files such as pdf.
What can I do? Is this an IE problem? Is there a workaround?
Thanks so much!
Lily
Unfortunately, MS IE doesn't allow such files to be open from a local source because of its security restrictions. You may use FireFox browser to view them.
Another way is to export to .exe file and burn it on CD.

Thanks for the quick answer!
How do I export to .exe? I don't see that option.

Also, why didn't this happen before I exported to cd format?
Oh, this is available in Offline Explorer Pro/Enterprise editions. Sorry. This problem doesn't happen when you browse inside Offline Explorer, because it contains internal Web server, which emulates online browsing and MS IE doesn't apply strict security restrictions.
Oleg.
