Only download *.L.JPG but not *.HTML

I have tried many ways on setting the feature but failed to download only the *****.L.JPG during the trial period. The files of *****.html were download together aswell of which I don`t want to.
Does this software perform this feature.

Stanley,

Try to uncheck the whole File Filters | Text category in the left tree in the Project Properties dialog. Click OK button to save the change. Now Offline Explorer should load HTML files only to get links to JPEG images, but HTMLs will be not saved to disk.

Can you send me your Projec settings? Just select the Project, click Copy button on toolbar and paste it to the forum.

I need your Project settings, not the URL. Please select the Project, click Copy button on toolbar. This copies all Project settings in a text form to the clipboard. Then switch to the forum and paste (right-click the forum Message Text field) and choose Paste.

Thank you. Here is what you need to do. Select that Project check the File Filters | Images section. Now select "Load using URL Filters settings" in the Location box there. Keep this category checked, because you need to allow images.

Then go to URL Filters | Filename. You need to remove everything from the Exclude list (you have one item there). Then change it to the Included files keywords and add the following two keywords there:

*.html
*.l.jpg

The last one was improperly named ****.l.jpeg in your settings. It is fine, but the files are not JPEGs, but JPGs on the site. Also, the above allows HTMLs to be loaded. They are necessary to get links to JPG files.

Now click OK button and start downloading the Project. It should work.

Dear Oleg,

Thank you for the [Object] above. It was successful only I paste the above to the "Meta"
because the URL has not been changed from the [Object].
For another URL I followed the steps of "wizard" e.g. http://www.firstview.com/WRTWspring2004/DUCKIE_BROWN/index.html
It was found not sucessful i.e. *.html files were saved onto the disk again.
Please explain which steps I can follow the "wizard" to achieve the goal after I have saved the [Obect].

The Wizard doesn`t allow you to fully customize the Project. If my settings worked for the first URL, just select the working Project, click Copy button on Toolbar, themn click Paste and you will get a duplicate copy of it. Now select the new copy of the Project, click Properties, change URL of the Project, click OK button and start downloading it. This will be used as a good template for this site.

Perhaps, you need to authenticate the Project. I don`t know how the site authenticates, so you can write me directly to support@metaproducts.com and tell me your username/password, so I can see how it should be set up.

I wrote you that the simpliest way is to start Offline Explorer Pro, log on the site in the Internal browser and then download a Project. Offline Explorer Pro shares the same session with the Internal browser, so it should work well with the protected area.

What if you logon the site first in the Internal browser, then create a new Project with Level unchecked, URL Filters | Server and Directory - Load only from the starting....

Click OK button and download it.

Thank your very much it works perfectly by following your way.

But can you advice me please that the paid web pages stop downloading when the time?¦s up. The Project was half download completed. The project was highlighted showing it was completed in Meta Explorer but actually it was not. Would you please teach me if I want to resume the projects to download the outstanding files *.L.JPG of each project. So I don?¦t have to download all the Projects allover again. I did try to load again but still it was not completed.

I have tried different methods. I have checked ?§ Do not download existing files ?§ under the File Modification Check. It does not work as I expected.

Please teach me ways to solve the existing problems first.

To avoid the time`s up situation problems, would you please modify the
Project Settings. So that I can resume the Projects to download only the outstanding files *.L.JPG in the future access to the paid web pages, should it happen again.

The Do not load existing files method should work. Please logon the site in the Internal browser again and then start downloading the Project.
