The Page Cannot Be Displayed

I`ve downloaded a site and when I click the html files, Explorer comes up saying "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" yet the html file is there, I see, I can edit it but explorer won`t display it. could it possibly be the odd file name and location? (ie. c:\blahblah\www.awebsite.com\home\myfile.html) ??

First, does this happen with all sites you download or just with one of them? If yes, please let me know the link to it and I will see myself what is wrong there.

Second, did you try to browse that downloaded site within Offline Explorer?

I also tried to download and I get this answer for every site:
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://127.0.0.1:800/Default/www.geocities.com/snazzyandco/myfacepaintingpage.html
for instance.

Do you have the following URL in the Project Properties dialog?

http://www.geocities.com/snazzyandco/myfacepaintingpage.html

If not, please change the Project URL to the above, click OK button and start loading it again.

Does this help?

I have got this problem too.
Just happened a few days ago.my url :http://www.geocities.com/alwayswelcome365/index.html
Thank for your question cause I known that I'm not alone.
I think geocities broke up for a while may be a few weeks or years.
ANY SUGGESTIONS? LET ME KNOW.

I was able to use your URL to load the site with Level=1 very well.
