Dear support staff,

i try OE to fully exploit that book companion webpage, i.e. downloading:
+ the page itself (level limit=0)
+ the "Download" links (*.fl or *.zip) on that page (level limit=1)
+ the "Description"-pages (HTML) linked to that page (level limit=1). they are popups.
+ the "Download pdf"-links (*.pdf) from those "Description"-pages (level limit=2). they are buttons.

I cant get OE to download the "Description"-pages nor their linked PDF's.
Please could you tell or teach me the project settings?

This looks like a very straight-forward and simple project but.. :?
Thanks for some illucidation,
best regards

Pete

Please use the Project Properties dialog - Parsing section to allow Script Calculations and HTML Forms Exploration. This should help.

Hello! :))

Thanks for the hint! I think i tried that yesterday (at least the 'script eval'-setting).. but when i retried it today, it worked -- OE downloaded all "Description"-links (as "default.htm") and their PDF's. Great help, thanks a lot!!

Dear MP staff,
if i want to share this download project with someone else (e.g. on a forum or via e-mail), so that he/she can use OE himself/herself to re-download the project on his/her own, is it true (yes/no) that the very best and most convenient way to share 'the project' is by selecting the project (title), then in from the menu bar: Edit->Copy , then 'paste' the clipboard contents to the email body text (or forum post), and then that person would simply mark/select the full text, copy, then in OE menu bar: Edit->Paste?

If this is so, i am wondering where this "feature" (Copy <-> Paste; or sharing projects or project settings) is documented in the OE help file ... B-)

Thanks again for the creation of that marvellous tool,
best regards

Pete

I will look at the help file to see how it is described. Yes, the Copy/Paste is very useful not only for sharing your Project settings, but also to clone a Project if you want to download another site with about the same settings. To do this, you will simply have to change the starting URL of the copied Project.

Oleg.
