Software : OE Pro - 6.4.3860 SR1
OS: Win7 64 Ultimate
RAM: 16GB
Processor: I7 2600k

I am downloading a large project which has close to a million files.

This is also an error i am getting http://s16.postimage.org/ybeldhnyd/oeerror.png

and also "Thread creation error: Not enough storage space is available to process this command."

After reading the forum I have also tried running with params /NoDB and /NoMap

The problem occurs after reaching about ~10,000-~20,000 downloads

I have,
- Directory overload ON.
- 20~10 Threads, have tried 0, 1, 2-5 Second delays.
- Parsing, only File Integrity and Suppress Errors, and I have tried with all off too.
- Download only modifier and new files with Check Size.
- Level limit unchecked.
- Have tried No / Offline Link translation.
- Got a couple of URL filters on filename and directory

Oleg,

I had sent it yesterday, I am not sure if it went to your spam folder due to the attached file, I will resend again but can you check there as well.

I am working to reproduce this. Meanwhile, please try to uncheck the "Prevent directories from overloading" box in the Options dialog - Files section and clean the Download Directory.

Would this kind of download be stable?

Another question - please watch the program status bar before it crashes - whether the lower-left corner have a Parsing (XX) message, where XX is a big number?

oleg,

actually the first time i ran this, "Prevent directories from overloading" was unchecked, it downloaded about 200,000 files and then OE crashed but i had set it to download all files. So since it crashed I changed the setting back to checked so that the directories wont get overloaded.

When it crashes there is no large number for parsing, infact its at downloading mode, also after i started using the resume file I noticed that once the mail part of parsing seems to have finished and downloading has began again, after about 10,000 files it will crash and now I also have the setting to check for a keyword to download files. You got my config anyway.

I am currently testing inside a VM on the same machine with windows xp pro sp3 and it has not crashed yet, and going on 400,000+ files downloaded with 400,000+ more currently in the cue.It has not crashed once yet.

Also.... is it possible to run this on linux ? I tried with wine on ubuntu 11, but the install file crashes.

Thanks Oleg,
ik.

Yes, we have suspects about some kind of incompatibility with Windows 7. On Windows XP it works flawlessly.

At the same time we cannot reproduce these crashes on our Windows 7 computers and some users also tested massive downloads on Windows 7 with no problems.

Sorry for these issues! We continue investigating this to fix.

Oleg,

Thanks for looking at the problem and yeah, I understand that to find the problem you would probably have to be working in the same machine with a debugging environment setup.

Oh well, hopefully it will be sorted at some point in time.

Oleg,

As I had mentioned this crashing and testing has cost me a lot of money to purchase bandwidth and I am unable to keep testing.

I hope the application will one day be stable on windows 7 but for the moment it is useless to me.

I had sent a request for refund via the website and also via support email 5 days ago but have not head back from you, can you please look into this.

Thank you,
ik.

Hi Oleg,

I am having a similar error which seems to happen when the download is done and the program tries to exit the project called from a batch file.

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, CPU is Core i5

From Event viewer – application error
Faulting application name: OE.exe, version: 6.8.0.4058, time stamp: 0x2a425e19

After clicking on the Close the Program dialog box I am getting the following:

Oleg,

I am now using the latest version.
Sorry for the confusion, when doing the cut and paste I confused the 4058 entry for the 4098 ...
After upgrading I am still getting the same error.

Here is the event viewer for v6.8sr2.
