facebook filtering

hi.

I am trying to capture only one profile from facebook. This will include all wall posts, the inbox, sent box, etc... I would have to go several levels into the website to get them all. However, if i just set it to say 3 or 4 levels in I will start capturing other people''s profiles which I do not want to do. I only want to capture the one. I am thinking the filtering options would be what I would want to use but I am not sure how I would set it up. Any help would be appreciated.

thank you.

I am not sure about this site structure, but try to use Load only from the starting server and directory in Project Properties dialog - URL Filters.

Those settings did not work, other profiles were still being captured.

But I have another question. As is the case with sites like these there are "Delete" links. By clicking a delete link a popup occurs and selecting "yes" will delete the message. I am worried that offline explorer will click on these delete links and will end up deleting the messages. I have lgnorelogoutlinks enabled but I don''t know if that will help for delete links. I only have up to 1 level being captured so I have no risk of deleting links right now, I would have to go 2 or more levels in to have the risk of deleting messsages. I will need to go more than 2 levels in for the full capture of the profile.

Can you give me example of a normal link in your profile and a link that points to another from your pages?

Yes, these links will be followed. Please disable them using URL Filters - Filename section. I also added "delete" word to the IgnoreLogoutLinks command right now. So future versions will be more safe.

Does the link have to be legitimate? I can give you this:

my page:
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=?????????
where ????????? is the unique id for my profile.

someone else''s profile:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?id=?????????&ref=nf
where ????????? is the unique id for that profile.

It seems that the id doens''t always appear in the URL address bar either. when i logged into my profile it was there but when my friend logged into his profile it wasn''t in his address bar.

Thank you! So all I have to do is add the word, delete, in the excluded files keyword box of the filename url filters section?

Yes, just the list of words:

delete
home.php

I think the above will exclude opening another profile as well.

It still doesn''t work because when going to some people''s profiles, instead of home.php in the url it is profile.php. Profile.php is in the url that I want to capture so I can''t exclude it entirely. it seems like sometimes other profile urls will have home.php in it or have profile.php in it.

would i be able to exclude profile.php but include profile.php@id????????? when ????????? = my unique id number?

No. Exclusions have priority. Can you contact me directly at support@metaproducts.com ?

OK. If you do net get any E-mail from me within 2 days, please post here again. E-mails start to be less and less reliable nowdays.

As an aside, OEP will download all the URLs specified in the Address box even if an exclusion rule would exclude URLs of that form.

Yes, this is true. I think, we are close to make the Project configuration to load the site profile and not go to other profiles.
