From our experience, this increase may help if your Internet connection is fast and the site is overloaded by other users (slow). In this case increasing the number of connections will drive more data to your computer.

However in most cases Offline Explorer uses the whole bandwidth of your own connection even with 10 channels and increasing that number will not influence that much.

Some sites only allow a maximum of 2 downloading connections at a time or they will be aware that you are using an automated program to DL information and change to "200 OK" codes, stopping files from downloading.

My question is, when downloading from multiple sites, is there a way to only have 2 connections at one site, and 10 connections at another?

Sure. You can setuo one Project to use maximum 2 connections by adding the following line to its URLs field:

Channels=2
