I am new so there may be obvious answer to these question.

At this link
http://www.rte.ie/smiltest/lyric_new.smil

It is live radio streaming.

Does OE Pro (4.2 - the version that I purchased) be able to save a partial stream as it is live radio?

I save and open the file and found:

rtsp://89.207.56.7/broadcast/lyric.rm

Then created a project with this link.

Nothing happen when clicking on the download button?

Am I doing something silly?

Thanks in advance

Please open that Project Properties dialog and select Download All files. Click the OK button and Download. Would this work?

This file loads well on my system. Maybe you have a kind of proxy server?

I tried this at home which as one of those stateful inspection firewall which should be transparent to client.
As far as the client workstation is concerned, it is just the network gateway.

So, it fails to open the same way at your home and at work?

No, I do not use streaming at work.
It is more hassle than it's worth to workaround the corporate IT infrastructure.
In principle, it is not allowed anyway.

I use streaming at home only.

Does the same stream plays online well using RealPlayer on your home computer?

When playing online from the web site - this link is followed

http://www.rte.ie/smiltest/lyric_new.smil

(You can cut and paste the link into any browser).

The file is downloaded and Real Player is launched. Real Player then connects to the server and start to play the live program.

In lyric_new.smil, I found rtsp://89.207.56.7/broadcast/lyric.rm which I used to create a new project.
(based on what I have read in the forum).

Is that the right way to do it?

Can you please show the Log Window (Ctrl+W), enable detailed logging in the Filters button and start logging. Then download the RTSP link again to see what happens in the log? Maybe there is a kind of error.

Yes, sorted. Proxy is setup for download but not in IE for online browsing.
Thanks for all your help.
