Thumbnails time out after about 1 second

Quite often I find that if I download a page with quite a few thumbnails (for example www.channel4.com/4homes/ontv/grand-designs/houses/index_archive.html), then when I try and view it, OE gives up on displaying some of them even though it has them downloaded. Instead it showsvthe usual little red cross in a white box with a black outline that IE/OE give you when they cannot load the image in question. I think it tries to open all the thumbnais on the page at the same time and then times out on the ones that don't load within a second or two - it's a very quick timeout so with a lot of thumbnails this happens every time. The only way to display them is either to right click on each one that doesn't show and select "show image" or to reload the page. If I do the latter then more often than not a different selection of the thumbnails doesn't load. Is there a way to increase this timeout time. Incidentally, If I open the same page in IE from OE (still accessing the downloaded version) this doesn't happen and the page loads much much faster. So I guess I have 2 questions:
- How do I configure OE to tiimout slower on displaying downloaded images/thumbnails on a page?
- Is there a reason why OE is so much slower and are there any settings that could speed it up a bit?

I don't know right now. Offline Explorer uses the same MS IE browser window embedded into its user interface, so it should work the same way. In some cases it could be helpful to uncehck the Internal HTTP Server in the Options dialog.
