Can someone help please. I'm trying to download some threads of a PHPBB forum. The problem is that i cannot get my filters to work correctly. OE keeps on downloading sections of the forum whereas i only want it to download a aprticular thread.

An example :

http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=115954 - start of the thread/page1
http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=115954&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30 - page 2
http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=115954&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60 - page 3

My problem:
I can successfully download page 1 with smileys and signatures included but OE won't download page 2 or page 3 etc for me. OE just downloads page 1, then it goes on to download the memberlist, profiles etc too which i don't want.

How can i make OE download from page 1 to the end of the thread i.e. page 4????

I dont want to download the member's profile, login pages, memberlist pages etc. I know that these links appear on each page but all i want is the actual contents of the member's posts and signatures and smileys.

Help appreciated :)

I think, the best way is to use URL Filters - Filename section in the Project Properties dialog - please select Custom Configuration and add the following to the Included filename keywords list:

viewtopic.php

Does this work?

thanks for your reply. No it didnt work. It still doesnt download the remaining pages. Only downloads the first page.

Also, i dont have any other filters in place.

Whilst attempting to download, i noticed that in OE, on the left of the various channels, the red sign keeps on popping up [circle thats red with a horizontal line inside]. This occurs with all the HTTP channels.

And when i try to download, under "status", some says "download coplete" whereas the rest says "aborted". I'm assuming this is because of the filter you suggest, but i'm not sure. It just seems that OE wont complete anything.

On the top half of OE, on the left, under projects, My project has a a cross sign on it [red circle thats red, with a white cross].

I really dont know whats going on. Maybe i have a faulty OE or something.

Please help.

OK. I published the Project for you - Tools menu - Usergroups section.

The stop signs in the each of the channels are simply buttons to abort that file download with a single click.

Thank for the help anyway.

ok. i've had another bash. I've made a new project and this time, in the Loaded % column, it loads and the downloading column says downloading. BUT OE constantly says Downloaded 0 file(s).

Basically, it appears to be doing what it should be doing, but nothing is actually downloading.

Help please

Can you please send me your Project settings to support@metaproducts.com ? Please select the Project, click the Copy button on toolbar and paste it to the E-mail message.

Thank you!
