This didn`t work. the files were actually named ruth1.gif up to at least ruth30.gif and when I entered it :ruth(:1...30).gif i got a bunch of blank files called 1.gif, 2.gif etc (not ruth1.gif etc)

Hi
Let me show you specifically. (adult content)
http://www.homestead.com/jebsadventurebound/files/Ruiz/ruth1.gif
I used http://www.homestead.com/jebsadventurebound/files/Ruiz/ruth{:1..30.gif}
Have I made a typo? the 1..30 is bolded and the brackets are blue.

I am not sure about getting all files in the Ruiz directory. You can try to load:
http://www.homestead.com/jebsadventurebound/files/Ruiz/
But in most cases, servers block directory listing access.
