I am trying to create a tutorial on searching the US patent database for one of my staff members to use for a presentation.

Here are (roughly) the steps that I am following
Project 1
open www.uspto.gov > select search under patents > select advanced search
enter the following in the query field "Christmas and tree and stand"
create project 2 and then search
select result #1
using AlternaTIFF plugin view the image to determine classification to narrow search
create project 3
go back to home >search > advanced search
create project 4
enter in query box CCL/47/40.5 (information from the image about classification)
create project 5
search

When I follow the above steps the offline results work until I press the first search button?

Thanks
David

Yes, in most cases it is hard to make search forms to work offline properly. You will have to use the Project Map to browse downloaded search results.
