Windows XP download problems

I am having trouble completely downloading virtually any site that I try. The download process appears to stop when graphics files are encountered at which time the status message in the messages panel says "Connecting to host ...". The problem only occurs on my home computer with Windows XP (fresh install with firewall disabled). I have no problem on my work computer which uses Windows 2000.

Please try the following trick - go to the Options dialog, Proxy | HTTP section, select HTTP Proxy type on top, clear the Address field and check the NTLM box below. Click the OK button and try to download any site. Does this help?
