I am sorry, but we haven`t found a good way to load songs from this site yet.

Maybe someone could see what URL names are used to play the music, so URL Macros can be used to load them all?

Best regards,

What if you would use URL Macros to get at least some songs of the same group:

rtsp://realserver.musicindiaonline.com/RayoH7IVPNk3FfDhMzLq2mOe8/ra/film/tam/Moviewise/P/Peralagan/714 - {:01..20}.rm

The only way is to find the URL for one song of another group and change the end of the URL the similar way - replace - 01.rm with - {:01..20}.rm

OK. What if you start playing one of the songs in RealPlayer and then right-click it and choose Properties. This should show the actual clip URL.

Hi,

I did what you asked me, and it worked like a charm on another site. But I am still not able to do it on www.musicindiaonline.com . The reason is that, the when i clikc the link for the song, it opens its own browser based player. I tried to find a url for the clip but i was not able to.

can u look at the site, and look at the player, because the player open in a browser, i mean a java script, is used to open a pop up browser.

Thanks for the help

Let`s try this way - please download and install MetaProducts Integra:

http://www.metaproducts.com/download/misetup.exe

After installation please setup it to pass all streaming links to Offline Explorer Pro. This way you will be able to start listening one song of some artist and it should be passed to OE. Then you will have to change the URL to load all songs of the artist using the URL Macros.

I hope this will work.

now maybe ive got you all wrong here because i am not familiar with the site your attempting to download from, but with refernce to the radio one(uk ) site in the uk you can listen again to some shows via the RTSP streaming protocol and the built in player.now the problem you have is finsding the URL to download, personally my choice would be" hidownload" for this, its a good application.Anyhow the easiest methosd of getting the url is to start playing the clip as usual ,then block network connection via a firewall or if that fails and your on dial up connection modem ,just turn it off.Real player will by default dispaly an error message telling you its lost the server and in the eror message box is the RTSP url for the stream you were playing, at the end there may well be a "start=......"bit just change this to zero to download the stream from the begining .
hope this helps in some small way. Forgive my english its the result of a poor comprehensive education in the Uk at the hands of countless corrupt and incapable governments.

apologies for not understanding where this message board was, but ive now downloaded a trial of OE pro and to be fair it looks much better than the progrAMME I MENTIONED BEFORE BUT STILL REQUIRES THE rtsp LINK SO GOOD LUCK.

Yes, it requires a direct RTSP URL, but you can get it using the new software - MetaProducts Integra. It acts as a proxy server and when it detects a URL to be downloaded (RTSP, MMS), it will pass it to Offline Explorer Pro.

Please install MetaProducts Integra and setup it to use Offline Explorer Pro for streaming downloads. Now browse the site manually and all links to the music files should be now added to Offline Explorer Pro automatically for the download.

Hi, I downloaded metaproduct integra, now the thing is its not sending the the url to metaproduct offline explorer. Can you check
Oleg Chernavin

Integra was created to send only streaming (mms://, rtsp://) links to Offline Explorer. You may install Mass Downloader to load the links to .mp3 files from the site:

http://www.metaproducts.com/download/mdsetup.exe

Hi,

I`d be in pre-school when it comes to downloads world... But I`m interested to download a few good songs from musicindiaonline...

If I understand your conversations, could you correct me where I go wrong:

1. Download Integra to capture the downloadable urls - mms and rtsp files.
2. Download and setup Explorer Pro to receive offline site information from Integra.
(what happens here?)
3. Download Mass Downloader to link the url output to .MP3 format to store as files.

This stores the stream bytes as it passes along the websites, right?
If I do the above steps, would I be able to copy the songs?

I`d be happy if any of you cud respond.....

Thanks.
Oleg Chernavin

Yes, you will need to setup Integra to send links to Mass Downloader and Offline Explorer Pro and then start browsing the site to go to the MP3 files. Once you start listening them, they will be loaded by either of the programs.

Hi MusicIndiaonline fans here and Oleg

To those familiar with MusicIndiaonline.com (MIO) , you must be aware that the site has been recently revamped with a new inteface.
In the old interface, a playlist usually gets stored in IE Temp Internet Files Folder. This playlist was a "rmfile" and ends with .rm. It usually contained the rtsp urls to each of the songs in the playlist.

So lets say you had 3 songs : Your .rm file contained"

rtsp://www.musicindiaonlien..blah blah/song1.rm
rtsp://www.musicindiaonlien..blah blah/song1.rm
rtsp://www.musicindiaonlien..blah blah/song2.rm

Now with the new Interface, things have changed a little bit.
Please do the follwoing and let me know if you can duplicate this:

-1.Prepartory Step : Make sure Real Player is your choice of player.
0. Preparatory step: Make sure you set your IE cache size to someting like 1 MB!

1. Go to any songlisting and select say 4 songs.

2. Click on "Play selected songs" at the bottom.

3. Let the player launch and wait until the "Buffering.." message appears.

4. Stop the player.

5. Open IE->Tools->Internet Options->Temp Internet Files "Settings" button -> View Files
You will get a directory listing. Search for a file called i.htm.

6. Open this i.htm and look for a URL ending with .smil . For example I got something like
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/g/r/VUC2Hldx22.3umRvSHiW3PEMlGI0_CGsAd92/play.smil

7. Download this file (easier with Firefox as it gives a choice between "Play" and "Save to Disk")

8. Open this file. A base URL is given to at the top of the file followed by URL parts for each song.To get RTSP links to each of your songs, simply attach to the base URL, the individual parts to get the full URL of the songs you selected.

Hope this helps!

Would really appreciate if someone could try it out and let me know.

yes what u have written has worked but, there was a way using integra and ofline explore. there are some questions i wanna ask

1 how to download the entire music album instead of doing one by one. there was one procedure using these charectes{} but i tried and it didnt work. second

how to get a link like this in real player
rtsp://realserver.musicindiaonline.com/UN3NjwLL/ra/film/hin/moviewise/H/HindustanKiKasamOld/Duniya.rm

or this link is availabe in smil file.
because i tried that in real player and was not abel to the link liker that. any way
bye

PS:Olega Kindlyu look in to it. You were abel to help me last time also

I just tried this link:

rtsp://realserver.musicindiaonline.com/UN3NjwLL/ra/film/hin/moviewise/H/HindustanKiKasamOld/Duniya.rm

And it loads well in Offline Explorer. If the site links to a SMIL file, OE will parse it as well and load links to media files.

If it doesn`t, please let me know the link to the SMIL file.

Yes i agree the lik works, but i wanna download all the music in one particular source

for example

rtsp://realserver.musicindiaonline.com/UN3NjwLL/ra/film/hin/moviewise/H/HindustanKiKasamOld/

The above link is the source followed by the song file name and its type.

Now instead of going one by one and downloading i want to do all at once. there was a way using roman numbers. but i have forgotten it and also using {} chracters.

can u kindly check and let me know how to go about it

Thanks for ur speedy resopnse

The steps mentioned for musicindiaonline work perfectly, but I was wondering is there a similar method for www.smashits.com or www. raaga.com. Both the sites play real files through their own players like musicindiaonline, but I am not able to locate the smil file in this case. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, there is no such way to do that. Servers do not support any RTSP command to list files or available streams.

Yes, indeed they did until recently. I was able to download the rtsp/rm files using flashget but now suddenly am getting the message:

Does it mean they have been able to block downloads?
