1732 build hardcodes config files path

Install build 1732, change the directory path in the options tab to define the directory in which configurations, jobs, etc. are to be saved as something other than the sefault, save the changes in the file menu, exit OE Pro.

Voila! OE Pro ignores the new setting and forces the default path hidden in the user settings path.

Bad, Bad OE Pro!!!

It`s still not working here. Have made a clean instlal of Win2K and OEPro. Did you check on a clean system or a development system?

Fred,

OE checks if the directory exists first. If yes, it tries to create an empty file named "temp_oe.$$$". Only if the file creation works, OE uses the entered temporary directory. Otherwise, it reverts to the system (user) default temp directory.
