Exclude all directories except ...

Hi:

I`m spending lots of time on this one but can`t seem to get the filter right.

I want to download from a couple of servers but on one server I only want one of the directories.

As an example

In custom servers I am inputting:
www.server1.ca
www.server2.ca

For server2 I want to exclude everything except : www.server2.ca/dir/dir/dir/musthave

The only way I can see OE allows this is to use "exclude directory" and list every other directory on server2. Server2 is huge. There must be a simple way that I am overlooking.

Can you help?

Thanks,
Patricia

Yes, it is quite simple. Add the following to the URL Filters | Directory | Custom Configuration - Included directory keywords list:

http://www.server2.ca/dir/dir/dir/musthave
http://www.server1.ca/*

Thanks, Oleg. That seems to be doing the trick. Now I get it :-)

Another problem I am having with this project is that OE crashes when it is downloading mp3 files from an MMS server. It has successfully downloaded all the mp3 files once but other than that, it has crashed. Any tips on eradicating this problem?

Thanks,
Patricia

We have fixed a number of problems just recently. Can I ask you to download the following update:

http://www.metaproducts.com/download/betas/oep1733.zip

Please unzip it and replace the old oe.exe file with the new one. Does it work better?

Oleg.

Hi Oleg:

We did what you suggest but the new .exe file it isn`t helping. I even reduced the number of channels and it is still crashing.

Can you tell me, how this can be reproduced? What server, URLs do you download, etc. If you don`t want to publish this information here, please write me to support@metaproducts.com .

Thank you!

Oleg.

Patricia,

It took some time. I fixed several bugs and I just tested Offline Explorer on these mms:// links. It loaded them fine with no crashes. Please try the following updated version:

http://www.metaproducts.com/download/betas/oep1752.zip

Does it work well for you?

Oleg.
