Keeping links to ancilary websites intact

Hi:

I may have missed something obvious, but if you could steer me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

I am using OE Pro to download journals from publishers` web sites. Once they are downloaded onto our server, they are placed in our "Collection". From there, visitors to our site can view the publications.

When I download, I check off "Load only within the starting URL" because I don`t want any files from other websites. However, once a page is downloaded, I would like the URL links to other sites to still work.

When I browse the downloaded pages in OE and click on link to an outside website, a window pops up that says "click here to go online". The problem is the end users of the downloaded pages will not necessarily have OE. The end users are the general public who will be using a regular internet browser. When they click on the same link they will receive a "Not found" error.

Is there some way of downloading a page with the option to "leave links to other servers intact"?

Thanks,

Yes, it is easy to do - once you have created a new Project with the Wizard, open its Properties dialog, go to the Links Translation section and select "Online Links Translation" there. Now click OK button and start downloading the Project.

This way all links that were not loaded by Offline Explorer will be changed to point online.

I hope this helps.
