Can OEP do this? (email extraction from multiple websites)

Regarding a home rental, I need to contact a bunch of realtors.

At a webpage, such as the following Google one, there are about 50 links to various realtors in the Eugene, Oregon area:

http://directory.google.com/Top/Regional/North_America/United_States/Oregon/Localities/E/Eugene/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/

Rather than having to visit each of the 50 or so websites, is there any way Offline Explorer Pro (or another product) can pull out the email addresses inside these websites, if I just give it the single Google webpage address above?

I don`t consider this a spamming exercise, as each realtor I`m sure will be glad to receive an email and potential business. It`s just to save myself a bit of time opening all the websites.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Simon.

I tried using the following and was able to get these e-mails from a search level of 1:

I loaded the google link you reference, then activated the "add next clicked link as project" and hit the refresh button (all of this done in the OE internal browser pane). I added the following command to the project window:

Additional=CollectEMails=c:/testemail.txt

I then ran the download. I did have to edit the queue on the fly to eliminate a lot of extra downloads unrelated ... you could restrict the download further by using server/directory/filename filters. Please note this does not "crawl" each site looking for e-mails ... it only captures e-mails found on the initial home page of each realtor. You can go deeper by changing the Level Limit higher than 1 but beware as you will add lots of unrelated links and pages to the queue.

I hope this helps ... I am sure Oleg has a more elegant solution! :-)

Steve,

Thank you for helping. Frankly, I would love to make a more elgant solution to collect E-mails, but I am afraid that too many settings would only clatter the user interface. That`s why I am using these additional parameters in the URLs field to add many features, which are not frequently used.

This helps me to satisfy more people needs, while keeping Offline Explorer not overloaded with many visual features.

Best regards,

"I added the following command to the project window:

Additional=Collectemails=c:/testemail.txt "

Could someone clarify where this is added please? Also, is there any documentation to help understand what `Additional` features are available - can`t see anything in help file.

Thanks

David.

David,

Please go to the Help | Contents in the main menu of Offline Explorer Pro. Select:

FAQ - How to collect E-mail addresses from downloaded Web pages?

You can read about all other commands here:

Advanced features - List of all Additional= command parameters

I hope this helps.
