there is a site with some files which are .wvx files which are really just a text file that points to an mms stream
the .wvx file shows when opened in a text editor...
<ASX version = "3.0">
<Entry>
<Ref href = "mms://www.website.com/allmovieclips/0706/vid3.wmv" />
</Entry>
</ASX>
i was just wondering if OE can read this file above and start to download the real clip stream automatically?
also can OE then change the html of the page with the .wvx file to pint to where the .wma file was downloaded?
cheers.
Such files should be supported by Offline Explorer already - it should load them, extract the link to a streaming video file, convert the link for offline browsing and load the stream.
If it doesn`t work, please send me details about the link and what is going wrong there. I will see what can be done.
Thank you.

Hi Oleg,
I have the same problem, where I can not convert a wonderful .wvx file to anything else.
HREF=""http://av.rtl.nl/web/components/shows/jensen/2005/week45/vrijdag_vr28okt05_telsell_sumsing.avi.MiMedia_WM_364K_V9_av.wmv""
If there is a way I would appreciate knowing it.
Thanking you in advance
Lou

Yeah,I`m having the same issue and I`m about ready to pull my freakin` hair out! There has got to be a way to do this! I`ve searched every place imaginable and have come up with zilch. And opening the file with notepad and getting the url doesn`t work,at least not for me. Please help! :(

I just recorded the files to my hard drive using wm recorder and that saved them as regular wmv files.

I think you have me confused with another person. I don`t have any offline explorer issues.
