I was downloading a book called Squid: A User`s Guide from
http://www.andamooka.org/reader.pl?section=squid
Referer=http://www.andamooka.org/reader.pl?section=squid

I downloaded into a new folder called c:\books\Squid: A User`s Guide
OE downloaded the first file. Upon clicking the project, there was nothing to display except for a "Download the missing link now and add it to the selected Project" page.
I tried locating the file amongst the c:\books folder. It was then that I realised that there was a colon `:` in the folder name I was asking OE to create.
Since OE is a very intelligent program, can`t you get it to substitute a folder name with a colon to, say a hyphen? This has nothing to do with OE but the Operating System and its limitations. If you could implement such a feature, it would help your users.

Thanks for considering my opinion.
Maybe an error message on the lines of "Error: 401 Unauthorized" is all that may be needed.
"Error: Can`t create requested folder"
If you can get OE to create a legally named folder automatically, nothing like it.
Thanks

Oleg.
