|I would like to download the WMV file at mms://184.108.40.206:1755/PUB/entertainment/0310/thorpey_hi2.wmv
It opens fine if I paste this into IE, but it never will download from OEP. Any ideas what I can do? Thanks.

So I guess the trick is to look inside the .ASX file for the link, then remove any reference to the port number?

|Well, I think, I will do it another way - if Offline Explorer Pro cannot get it at the 1755 port, it will retry automatically at the default port itself. I will try to do this on Monday.

Can you try to download the file using the modified link that you provided and see what happens for you. I get the standard dialogs, the length column shows 433 seconds, and the Loaded % column increments up to there as normal. The status shows downloading. But when it finally gets to 433, it eventually starts all over again. This continues several times until finally it quits with a timeout error. No WMV file is ever created in the download folder. I can see the temp file being built in the C:\temp folder as normal. I am on OE Pro version 2.9.1322 service release 2. Thanks!

|I just fixed the problem. Can you please get the updated version here:
Please unzip it and replace the old oe.exe file with the new one.

I replaced the exe but I still have the same problem.
Help/About now shows my version as 2.9.1343 service release 3, so I know I got the new exe. Any more ideas?

|OK. I will keep working on it. Meanwhile, please right-click the file being downloaded when it is around 433 seconds and select "Finalize". It will save the downloaded part of the file.

|Hi Oleg. Sorry to be such a pain, but when I finalize the file the video is not visible when I play it. The audio is fine, but the video doesn`t play. If I click on the link and stream it to windows media player then the video is viewable, but when I try to save it with OEP it won`t. I thought for sure the finalize trick would work for me. Is there something in that last second or two of the file that I need in order to be able to see the video? Thanks again.
