Some people report the following situation: When the program is loaded, it takes up to 98-99% CPU resourses, it`s just impossible to work with it, and with any other app. OnllyCtrl+Alt=Del helps.
One of the systems is: Windows sanitized_by_modx& #1061sanitized_by_modx& #1056 + SP1 +some pre-SP2 fixes.
Other Installed software for internet: Agnitum Outpost Firewall2 + NAV 2003 <-- disabling them before launching the program doesn`t help
Ah, yes.. the program is installed in trial mode, and the trouble starts from the first launch (and currently it is the last launch :) - because no projects can be downloaded with such CPU Usage)

What to do? Please help

Can you please try to run it from the command line this way:

oe.exe /NoBookmarks

This will skip reading bookmarks, which could be the reason of the slowdown.

Please let me know if this helps or not.

Thank you!

I`m one of those people Alexandre spoke of. Starting OE with `/NoBookmarks` really helps, thank you.
I have bookmarks only in Opera 7 and there are lots of them, in fact almost 1800.
I backed up my hotlist and deleted several hundreds default Opera bookmarks. Now OE starts with high CPU usage too but then it quickly (1-2 seconds) drops to zero. This never happens with my original `unedited` hotlist no matter how long I wait.
So I think there`s a bug in your bookmarks parsing code which prevents OE from loading large bookmark lists. Hope this will be fixed soon.

Thank you!

Can I ask you to send me your Hotlists file to support@metaproducts.com ? This will be used ONLY for Offline Explorer Pro testing purposes. This way I will be able to improve the hotlists loading code.

Oleg.

Oleg, I think I`ve found the problem. It occurs when you create a folder with no name and then some bookmarks. Check your email for sample hotlist.
Best regards.

Thank you. I will fix it once I get the file.
