OE does not save downloaded files

Hello.

I just wanted to save some pages from the Internet Archive.
They are using URL`s with special chars like "*" in their subdirectory names.
OE is downloading the requested files but cannot create directories on my
HDD with these special characters. Therefore it continues to download
the files but never saves them into any dirs. What can I do? It would be no
problem if OE would just exclude these special chars from the URL string
and create valid dir names.

Hello,

Can you please give me few example URLs, so I could improve Offline Explorer and test it on them. Thank you!

Hello.

Here comes one example. The url may look a bit weird for you if you have not used the Internet Archive before and I hope this textfield will display the link correctly, otherwise I will create a page with the link for you. So here it comes:

http://web.archive.org/web/*re_im_sr_1nr_5000/http://www.grandroyal.com*

Yep it worked.
I expected it would be displayed as a link. But it`s still plain text so you can just copy and paste it.
Here is another example:

http://web.archive.org/web/*hh_/www.grandroyal.com/Bands/Bandlogos/titan_logo.gif

Yes I know these URL`s look totally crazy and have two http:// and use wildcards ..
Just try and look that it works. The architecture of the Internet Archive is 3-dimensional. That is why they use wildcards. Many people want to save files from the Internet Archive but because of their weird structure no Offline Explorer does it.

I just tried the latest Offline Explorer Pro version with these links. It converts * symbol to _2A and the files were saved to disk correctly. Can you please check this again? Please make sure that all File Filters sections of the corresponding Projects are checked.

Yes it works in Windows 98 for me, but not in Windows XP.
I will do it in Win98 then.
