Oleg: I have long been a satisfied customer. Lately, I have been having difficulties with some Real Audio rtsp streams that I had previously downloaded successfully. These are streams from certain PBS stations (such as rtsp://129.186.60.6:554/encoder/woi-fm.rm). What happens now is that Offline Explorer Pro will start to download the stream, the speed indicator will display some outrageously large number, then drop to zero. Then nothing else. I have tried each successive build of OEP hoping this problem would be fixed, but so far, no luck. Would you please check this out? A number of PBS stations have changed their feeds lately and cannot be captured with Offline Explorer Pro.
Thanks,
John D.
John,
How many seconds pass before the speed becomes zero? Also, what are the stream URLs that cannot be loaded by OE at all - even few seconds?
Oleg.
Oleg: The speed indicator starts with some very high number then drops to 0 after a second or so. No data is captured from that point. This occurs with the following URLs:
http://www.woi.org/stream/woi-am.ram
http://www.woi.org/stream/woi-fm.ram
http://wpln.org/wpln.ram
These are all Real Audio 8 rtsp streams that I had no trouble with less than a month ago.
Thanks for your help.
John
John,
Thank you for the info. I am sorry, but I am in a short vacation, so I will work on it in the beginning of July.
Oleg.
John,
I just checked these streams and it appears that they are now loading properly. Can you please check again?
Oleg.
Oleg:
You`re right about the first two streams. They seem to be working correctly now. I am still having trouble with the last one: http://wpln.org/wpln.ram
Thanks again for looking into this.
I hope you had a good vacation.
John
Loads well again. I loaded 46 seconds of the stream. During first 25 seconds the speed was about 6 kilobytes per second, then it speeded up - over 21 Kb/s. Then I finalized the stream.
It played well after the download completed.
Oleg.
