I already downloaded with Offline Explorer the following realaudio files

rtsp://live.radio.rai.it/radio2/torino/prosa/montalbano/montalbano11.ra
rtsp://live.radio.rai.it/radio2/torino/prosa/montalbano/montalbano12.ra
rtsp://live.radio.rai.it/radio2/torino/prosa/montalbano/montalbano13.ra
rtsp://live.radio.rai.it/radio2/torino/prosa/montalbano/montalbano14.ra
[....]

from a adsl line with no problem at all.
Yesterday I downloaded again the same files from a T1 line but when I tried to listen them, about 80% of files were "noisy". It`s like the audio is not assembled in correct order. If you need an example file let me know where I can send it.

Thanks, Koulbak
P.S. This is a different problem from the other I reported in the previous mail.

Please try to select the highest possible RTSP connection bandwidth in the Options dialog of Offline Explorer Pro | Speed section. This fixes such problems in most cases.

Best regards.

I tried the "T1/Lan" and "10Mbps lan" but it doesn`t work. I always have about 50% of the files that are "messy". In the case it usefull to understand the problem:

(1) All the files I downloaded with OE were or
- completely messy
or
- completely ok.
Apparentely no one file was half messy and half ok.

(2) If I set "Number of connection" to 5 (for example) the first 5 files are "always" ok. The other files can be messy.

Let me know if I can give you more informations.

Thanks, Koulbak

Well, I would suspect that it is the server-side problem, because if OE would assemble something wrongly, the file would not play at all.

I understand. Anyway I have made about hundred more try.
And it`s confirmed, as I told you in the earlier msg., that all the download starting together are _always_ correct.

So actually to solve the problem I start the downloading and I remove form queue all the file that are not donwloading. When I finish to download I restart to download the project (payng attention to set "do not download existing files"). It`s better than nothing.

Probably a more easy solution (I will try tomorrow) is set "number of connection" to 1 and "Delay between downloads" to something like one minutes.

I will you knwo. Thanks anyway for your work.

I tried this last solution but it doesn`t work. I have no idea wich is the difference between download some stream with an automatic pause (20 sec) and download more times the same projects.

Let me know if you have some idea to try.

Hello,

I made some changes to RTSP downloads code. It may help. Please download the updated version here:

http://www.metaproducts.com/download/betas/oep1185.zip

Unzip the file and replace the old oe.exe file with the new one. Please let me know how it works.

I tried only on 40 files.
- The first n files (n=number of connections) OE download are ok.
- The followings have some problems just at the beginning 4 seconds

You`re near the solution...
Thanks, K.

P.S. Why don`t you permit to play a sound each time a project end?

I downloaded about 200 files and there`re some others problems:
About 30% of the files have one of this error:
-are 0 bytes long
-are quite smaller than should be
-are apparentely ok but when I play they doesn`t work

Thanks, K.
