OK, this just happened only today, can`t understand it. I was refreshing my offline sites running with "Download only Modified files". Previously downloads finished OK. Now, the downloads keep going and going... When I checked the directories, there are nested directories going on and on. For some sites, there are still other files in the queue, but OEPro doen`t get to parse them because it seems stuck on the recursive downloading of these, I figured mainly 404 errors. Help.
We are working on that. Meanwhile, please open the Project Properties dialog and uncheck "Suppress Web site errors" box in the Advanced section. Then click OK.
The problem is simple - there are Web sites that mark normal pages with 404 error (File Not Found) to stop offline browsers from getting them. However such pages contain useful information and not missing at all. To overcome such protection we added code that still loads such pages. However there are some real missing pages on servers that cause recursive downloads.
In the upcoming version we added a code that prevents recursion from happening.
