HELP Lost all my project files

I started Offline Explorer Pro 2.7 release 1082 and all of my Projects were gone!

I checked the program directory and the following exist

Many files with the suffix .map
Several Webdown.bw# files where # goes from 1 to 7
Several Webdown.bk# files where # goes from 1 to 3
URLs.BLB file which is 57.7 Mb in size
URLs.IDX at 17.2Mb
URLs.dat at 54.5 Mb

Three .dat files
Webdown at 1KB
Template at 1KB
Sequence at 0KB

I downloaded a lot of stuff yesterday and exited the program properly.
Any help would be appreciated.

If it helps, I have a backup copy of all the above files, but they are from three months ago and for instance, the URLs.dat, idx, and BLB files are one-fifth the size.
I don`t mind downloading all the files again, but really would like to recover the project files with all the download settings that I had since each project was carefully customized.

Thank you.

Chris,

Don`t panic! All Projects are in the webdown.dat file. However there are many backups of that file in case of Project lost.

First, please select all webdown.* files and copy them to some other directory as a backup.

Second, select the most recent file from them with the maximum size and copy it back under webdown.dat filename.

Start Offline Explorer Pro to see if all your Projects are in place. If something is wrong with the Projects list, try to repeat the same with some other webdown file.

There was a Webdown file dated yesterday that was 224KB compared to the Webdown.dat file dated today at 1KB. I deleted the Webdown.dat and renamed the other file and all is well.

Thank you.

Question: Is this the only file I need to save/backup to get all my projects and their settings? I do not care about anything else since over time I can download the projects all over. I just don`t want to loose my customization of each project and website download.

Thanks again for having this backup feature built in. It saved the day and shows that you put some thought into making the program reliable and crashproof.

Thank you.

Good that it helped.

If you would make backups, I would suggest you to save webdown.dat (Projects list), template.dat (Templates), all *.map files (Map of each Project that contains list of its downloaded files) and URLs.* files.
