Hello,

I have one rm file downloaded halfway while the power was off. It`s almost finished, so i don`t want to download another 3xxmb, so i found that temp file under temp directory, after rename, i could not open it like it was?!! i know there is a finalize option of every downloading file, can i manually finalize a rm stream file by myself?

Thanks a lot and regards,

P.S. i think a resume function of downloading stream files is also highly appreciated by anyone who use oe downloading stream files.

Hi, I agree with Brian about the resume function. I think that feature would be extremely useful to have, especially for streaming media downloads. Would be nice to see it in future versions.

Right now I plan to work on it this Monday. If it goes well, it will be included in 2.6 version that I am releasing shortly. If it takes more time than expected, I will release 2.6 version without RTSP streams resume and I will make a Service Release version as soon as the feature is implemented.

Live streams that have no set length or end time are a problem also.

rtsp://216.249.159.78:7070/encoder/wkmslive.rm

Once it is started it just keeps going and you can`t right click and finalize. Start and End settings also don`t work on this type of stream like they do on a non-live stream.

rtsp://216.249.159.78:7070/encoder/wkmslive.rm?start=00:00:00.00&end=00:15:00.00

I also see quite a few RTSP live Real Media streams that don`t even have an extension.

rtsp://88to94.com:554/encoder/pirate

There doesn`t seem to be anyway to finalize this.

Thank you for the link! I just improved live RTSP streams downloads. Here is the update:
http://www.metaproducts.com/download/betas/oep1006.zip

But the second link (without extension) is not working - the stream was probably removed from the server. Could you please test other simular "Live" streams with the updated version and let me know if there are still any problems?

Yes that works for both of those links. You can now right click and finalize them.
That second link only broadcasts part of the day. When it is finalized it can be played from OEP by selecting it in the download map. If you go to the download folder you need to rename it with a .ra or .rm extension.

Yes, it is a kind of problem, but Map really helps here.

When using scheduling and limits or just limits (Time, Size, # Files) on live streaming media files like the links above, or on media files that you are not sure of the time or size there is a problem.
When you reach the limit and the file is not done it is aborted and not finalized. I think that there should be an option in limits to finalize media files when the limit is reached.

Good point! I just did it - now all automatic Project stops will finalize downloading streams (if any). I am releasing 2.6 version now.

The RTSP streams resume takes more time than expected, so I will release 2.6 version without it and I hope to get it done shortly after that.

I will surely announce RTSP resume update here.

Sorry, You need to check this new function of automatic Project stops will finalize downloading streams (if any).

It crashes the program.
