downloaded the online help files from http://help.x1s8.com/ without any issue in the latest OE7 release(beta 2). on trying to browse the project after it downloaded, i'm seeing a loading animation without the project loading. this is the same animation you get online except that the help content loads without issue.

This site is too heavily scripted and it is almost impossible to download.

The only way is to use 7.0 version of Offline Explorer and create a Project with this URL. Select "Open every page in the Internal Browser and save" in the Download Method.

This at least downloads some links, which can be browsed via the Saved Pages tab.

Thank you for getting back to me on this one. i've tried your method but it only loads the homepage and no page shows up in the "saved pages" tab. Is the site too complex to be supported even in future versions ?

Please try this updated version:

The most important thing is to check the "Open every page in the Internal Browser and save" box in the Download Method of the Project Properties dialog for this Project.

a note though the saved pages feature now works, it only seems to download eight pages no matter what download settings i use. going manually and saving each page that was not downloaded to the project works.

Yes, that was my result as well. So far it gets only that amount of links. Hope to improve that in future versions.
