I have several huge projects downloaded (in full), but I am having problems exporting that.
The projects downloaded OK. The corresponding folder shows me ~200'000 files, 2Gb used space. Everything is browseable in the internal browser and works like a charm.
The problem starts when I try to EXPORT this (to another folder on the very same drive). The EXPORT starts and quickly closes it's window. No any errors generated - everything just like the EXPORT was done....
...but in the exported folder I can find only 47 files out of 200'000. And of course it is NOT browseable.
Report.txt shows me that 43 files were exported w/o any errors...but I need the WHOLE 200K-files project being exported, pls.
What I tried:
1) Check/uncheck "Recently loaded files only". No luck in both cases.
2) Restore the project's map: took me several hours, done, tried to export again - no luck.
3) Delete the corresponding .mpx and then re-download the project (over the current downloaded files) and export. No luck.
How would I export ALL the project files, please?
PS: I have several projects from different sites. All are browsable in the internal browser, but have troubles while being exported. :(
I don't know if it has to do with this issue, but I'm having issues with exporting too (actual version). I exported with "Create report.txt file" and I found that some, not all, files are exported into wrong folders. Example:
Link to the file: file:///D:/OE0/PPVG-Export/domain.com/forum/index.phptopic1415.0 (missing ".htm" and missing folder "%ovr0")
But file is located in: D:\OE0\PPVG-Export\domain.com\forum\%ovr0\index.phptopic1415.0.htm (exported into folder "%ovr0")
But what is "Faster export" for if it can't be used?
Thanks and best regards.
What are "overloaded directories"?
This can be turned off in the Options dialog - Files section.
Again I must say that OE is the best applications of it's kind and the support is extremely good.
There are not many companies in the world with such an extremely great support.
Thanks a lot,
Thank you very much!
I got another question regarding exports:
I was assuming that I could upload the exported files and folder to a Linux webserver and browse it like a normal website. But because OE creates folders with "%" in their names, it doesn't work because "%" is a reserved character.
Is there a way to export in a format which can be run on a webserver?
Export the downloaded files with the Joliet filenames format. It will remove the % symbols.
