How to download videos from a password protected site?

Hello,

Is there a way to download videos from this password protected site which includes many mp4 videos?
http://www.appsumo.com/content/clickminded/

I'm able to download the site but no videos are included in the download. The videos itself are hosted at wistia.com. Here's an example of a video to download:
http://embed.wistia.com/deliveries/b1b98e084d268797d3640f521bcfa60b4048e74b.bin

If I "Test a URL against URL filters" it says "The URL will be downloaded". But it won't.

2nd issue: Included links like this will not be downloaded too:

What can I do?

Hi,

Try removing the .bin at the end of the URL and type .swf instead and paste it into the address bar of your browser and then hit ENTER. The video will be downloaded automatically to your preferred location. But make sure you have the latest active URL as the code that precedes the .bin extension will keep on changing every time. So, you need to get the active URL and change the .bin to .swf before trying to download. The URL you have mentioned here might be old.

When the video is saved, it might be saved in the .bin extension but nothing to worry. This extension video will play very well in VLC media player.

Changing '.bin' to '.swf' didn't work.

I am at a loss at how to get the video for personal viewing (in case they take it down)

We added support for embedded Wistia videos to Offline Explorer Pro. Please install the latest version:

http://www.metaproducts.com/download/betas/opsetup.exe

Then start Offline Explorer Pro, click the New Project button on toolbar, enter the address:

Set Level to 0, click OK button and download it. Browsing the downloaded Project offline will playback the video on the webpage.

Wish to find out from your expertise on how do I download the videos and pdf files from www.tradingsuccess.com/ultimate/market_profile/ that resides in a password protected Apache server?

Hello Oleg,

I am having the same problem, I will download the website but no video. To be fair, when I open the project inside offline explorer it does display all the videos, but when unplugging the internet I find out that no video plays, that is, offline explorer just grabs the video on wistia, but does not store it offline.

Can you advise on the best way to correct this?

From your explanation on the question on message "How to download videos from a password protected site" I infer that might be able to download each video at a time, but the real purpose of an automated tool, would be to really

download everything including the videos

for later browsing at home. I do have the site name / password, just need you to send me an email to double check on that.
