Problem with Indexed Search - File Remains in Index after Deletion
|Mike||07/15/2010 09:52 pm|
|I use Indexed Search extensively. I've discovered that after deleting a project, it's files remain in the index and show up as zero byte files when I do searches. Selecting the files in the results list and selecting delete has no effect, they're back there again on the next search. I deleted the files in the Index folder and Indexing stopped working on all future projects. I had to reinstall the app. How do I fix this so once a file is gone, it's gone from the index.|

|Yes, I will fix this issue soon. Thank you for pointing to it!

|That's nice, but what can I do right now to fix this problem? There appears to be a maximum number of results allowed in the results list, and for most of the projects that change often and that I update regularly, the indexed search is now worthless. The only thing that appears now are zero-byte or dead files. Is there nothing I can do except reinstall the application to re-enable this feature?|

|Just upgrade to the current 5.9 version from our site. It has this fix included.
