Im using Offline Explorer Ent. Edition.
I was looking at the optionsand I wonder what "increase speed using gzip encoding means"
What does offline exporer do when this is enabled?
And how does it work in quick layman terms? Does the sending server encrypt with gzip before sending?
Does it also enhance CRC-check when transfering pictures fro server A to b. my home?
Can it corrupt files/is it lossless compression?

|GZIP is lossless. Offline Explorer simply tells the server that if it compresses files, Offline Explorer is capable of uncompressing them. Not all servers use this, but it is useful in most cases.
The only reason this is made optional is to workaround possible problems. There were some issues with that in past versions, but I haven't had any error reports for this feature for several months already.
