downloading a site from archive.org
|Milford||02/04/2006 02:40 pm|
I`m trying to download: http://web.archive.org/web/20020922072257/http://immopoint.be/
URL Filters - Directory
included keywords: *2002*immopoint*
After completion, when I browse the default.html in the internal OE browser, I only see the letters but no pictures etc.
Must I do some other settings to download correctly or is the problem with my system?
Thanks in advance for any help.

|I think, you need to select "Load from any site" in the Location box - the Project Properties dialog for the Project - File Filters - Images section. Does this help?

I`ve tried your setting but no change: only text (but not the right font and color) and no pics.
Additional, I get a long list of 2006xxxxxxxxxx maps.... :-)
The setting shouldn`t be neccesary because AFAIK all the pics are in /2002xxxxxxxxxx/
Does this page work for you?
If it does, it HAS to work for me also and the problem must be on my side......

|There is an easy solution - please change the Project URL to:
- in other words - remove /http:// part from the URL and this solves the problem.

|It still does not work :-(
The files are somehow redirected in OE. Let`s take huisani.gif. In the default.html the address is:
but when I click directly on the file in the map, the OE browser gets the file from:
So, it seems like OE retrieves the file from another map. Which btw is the location on the original site on archive.org.
The file "huisani.gif" is mentioned in C:\..\..\..\..\20020922072257\immopoint.be\images\ but when I click on it, it doesn`t open and I get a red cross.
Anyway, since it`s redirecting to the correct location I can`t understand why only the bare HTML can be seen in the OE browser, without make-up (black lines, correct font(color)) and pics.
Any help would be welcome :-)

|Offline Explorer handles this redirect with the help of its internal server. To view that site with images outside Offline Explorer, simply use File | Export. This will correct redirected links to real images.

|If I export the site it works.....somewhat. Many files seem to be missing...
Oh well, I can always reconstruct the site manually, I guess.. :-/
But I have another, slightly related, question.
If I want to download a site with Autosave, when I click "browse" I get the following message:
This says: Cannot find file:///C:\Program Files\avast\web.archive.org/web/20020922072257/http_3A/immopoint.be/ Check the path or the Internet-address.
Do you have an idea what this could mean?

|Can you please tell me, how exactly I can reproduce this?
|Milford||02/09/2006 05:02 pm|
|I do the following:
1. I create a new Project
2. then I click the Autosave button on the Internal Browser toolbar
3. and then I click the Browse button
Here you can see a picture of the message I get >>> http://bluehome.net/~samysamymricom230/bg.php

|Can you please check, if you have Internal HTTP Server enabled in the Options dialog? This is necessary in order to make AutoSave feature working.

|Yep, that did the trick.
