Pop-up window link embedded in .SWF will not display contents

hello,

i`ve searched through the forums to see if this question has been dealt previously.

it has to do with .swf and embedded links within the .swf or so it seems to me.

this website:
www.tintin.com
leads you to:
http://www.francetv.fr/jeunesse/momes/tintin/en/index.html
after downloading it with an 8 level limit i browse it. all the stuff is downloaded nicely. i can check the swf files and so on.

HOWEVER, when i am within a .swf and click on it to keep on reading, a pop-up window opens up. this pop-up is plain .html with images and text (it`s not another .swf file).

since the url for that pop-up window seems to be embedded within the .swf file, offline explorer or offline explorer entreprise, don`t seem to be able to parse the .swf and so nothing is displayed in the pop-up window.

therefore, the following link which is a pop-up window
http://www.francetv.fr/jeunesse/momes/tintin/en/aventures/persos/casta.html
will not open
as it comes from a .swf at Home>The Cast> The Castafiore character "plumy woman opera singer".

i have not read any question dealing with this kind of problem in any posting so i think you might be interested in it.

regards,

mike

Thank you! We just fixed the problem and Offline Explorer will now load such links properly.

We are going to release the new version later this week. However if you need the updated version right now, please let me know.

Hello,

You`re welcome. I`m glad to have spotted a bug that you have been able to fix. It was very clear to me there was something wrong. Good job. I have found another webpage that uses the same technique: es.asterix.com or www.asterix.tm.fr both are the same. You can try it or you can let me try them and I`ll report the results here. You choose.

When you refer to Offline Explorer, do you mean Offline Explorer, Offline Explorer Enterprise or both?

Well, if it`ll be available this week that`s ok. If later... I`d like to see the updated version earlier. In any case, please, let me know here.

Greetings,

Mike,

I checked that site and it works well in the recent version of Offline Explorer (the code is the same in Pro and Enterprise versions as well). I plan to release new version today.

Another similar problem.
I tried to download the following site:
http://www.neroscan.net/homepage/gallerie/sportsillustrated/sportsillustrated.htm
OE does not ctach the Pop-up HTML windows in the SWF`s.

I`m using a trial of OEE 3.0 and MD 2.6SR1 (latest downloads from your site last week).

I just improved links detection in Flash files, so Offline Explorer loads these pages properly now. If you want the updated version, just let me know.

I`ll let you know, when I`m done with moving the downloads etc. I will post here when I`m done. Thanks.
