Cannot delete files from Windows Explorer

hi, we are trying out this program for our business. it works great so far.

however, i notice a small problem. when we finish downloading a project and exit the program (without deleting the project file), we are unable to delete certain downloaded directories. windows explorer keeps saying other program is currently using the directory or file. we will then need to reboot the machine in order to delete the directories. we do not want to use to clean option because we need to modify the downloaded sites/directories, and as part of this modification we need to delete certain unwanted directories manually.

please advise.

Hello,

Actually, Offline Explorer doesn`t lock any file or directory. What may really happen is that if you download a site with thousands of files in a directory, Windows would not like that and start behaving strangely. To overcome this, please check the "Prevent directories from overloading" box in the Options dialog | File Locations section. Then click OK button.

Does this help?

hi, many thanks for your suggestion.

we tried your suggestion, but still the problem continues. it appears (though i am not sure if this is consistent) that the "denial to delete" problem occurs when we abort or suspense (with or without resume) downloading a site, even if the site is very small. the problem appears to be denial of deleting a subdirectory (ex. images). again, once the machine is rebooted, we have no problem of deleting those unwanted directories. please advise.

I am sorry for the long delay. I just made some changes that should help.

Please download the updated oe.exe file here and replace the old one with it:

Let me know how it works.

Thank you.

Oleg.
