Why isn`t NAD freeware? Nobody will pay for a small tool like that. Even though it`s really cool! :) For other (freeware) tools like NAD see this website: http://lists.gpick.com/pages/Bandwidth_Tools.htm

NAD 2.0 isn`t just a small tool anymore, like NAD 1.x was.
We invested a lot of time and money into the 2.0 version development. Now it has the unique technology - Smart Filtering, which allows to detect application protocols (e-mail, web, ftp) much more reliable than with the usual approach, used by these freeware apps.
The new NAD version counts FTP and non-standard ports web traffic correct, fixing the main problem of port number based approach.

I can understand that, but why not allow people who don`t need the new
unique technology to download the previous version that was free.

This was one of my favourite tools.

But there are no more links in the official page for the old versions!
