Splitted Statistics?

Hi,

i`m using "NAD 1.1.90 Service Release 1" on WinXP.
Why are there 2 different Statistics?

After doubleclicking on the Icon in Systray appears the
"Diagrams List", there i Click on "Properties"
in the new Window "Diagram Properties" i chose "Statistics".

Here i can read this:
----
Since 10.01.2003 10:34:55
Input bytes : 243,35 MB
Output bytes : 64,81 MB
Sessions : 4
----

If i click right on the TrayIcon and select "Diagram Properties..."
and select "Statistics", i can read this:
----
Since 10.01.2003 10:34:56
Input bytes : 56,18 MB
Output bytes : 9,28 MB
Sessions : 10

Current session:
Input bytes : 374,30 KB
Output bytes : 79,08 KB
----

In my "Stats"-Folder i have 4 different Files:
----
Tray graph.txt
Tray icon.tmp
Tray icon.txt
Window graph.txt
----

Why are there different Statistics?
Shouldn`t there be the same figures?

"Is it a Bug or a feature", that i don`t understand? ;)
Hope u understood my Problem and u can help me.

Anyway, i like that Tool.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Egon

Every monitor keeps a different log. I personally just use the tray icon since it`s small and handy. Haven`t used the rest in a long while .^_^.

As I said, for some strange reason every monitor (tray icon, graph icon, graph window or whatever you choose to create yourself) keeps a separate log that`s active only when they are clicked `on` in the Diagrams window. Those log files are the logical byproduct of this awkward logging :P The .tmp files keep the current bw up-to-date(ensuring data protection in case of a crash) while the .txt files are the actual logs. For example, in your case you have the tray icon turned on and have used the tray graph and window graph monitors at least once.

Hope it helps

Thank you for your explenation.

That`s a quite strange "feature".
Wouldn`t it be better to have just one Statistic(-File)?

In my opinion,
there shouldn`t be different values just after changing the "Design".
Or at least there should be an Option that shows "all Statistic"
(summery of all Design-Statistic-Files) since a specified day.

Would be great.

Dear Egon,

Thank you for writing us.
Each diagram may have its own settings, may monitor traffic from different modems, ethernet cards or etc. Just turn unnecessary diagrams off and use the statistics of the rest diagram.

Sincerely,
Alexander.

i think only every interface (modem,eth0,..) should have its own statistics, not every graph type.

now i do not know how much i downloaded thru eth0, i have to look separately and add data.

maybe it could be like it is + have a more complex statistical tool.
