.chm files, The page cannot be displayed

I'm running Inquiry Standard Edition 1.3 on a windows 2000 Pro system and saving web pages as .chm files. When I try to view the saved files, the correct web page appears for a few seconds before changing to the standard IE page that says "The page cannot be displayed" same page that displays when you fail to connect with a server. If I hit the back button, the page again displays properly for a half second and then goes back to "The page cannot be displayed." I am running IE Version 6.0.2800.1106 with 128 bit encryption. I don't believe it is a security issue as I'm saving the files locally.

Hello,

The most probable cause of the problem is the page javascripts. You can try to switch on the Tools\Options..\Save\Remove scripts checkbox and resave the page as .chm file.
