I have searched this forum and the posted solutions to the 99% download stop do not change anything which is increase retries to 100.
All versions Ive used most of the downloads STOP at 99% and you have to "Pause, resume" to finish the download.
What is the problem with this?
Thank you

Cricri,

Could you please make the log file?

To make the downloading log please download the logging.zip file from:
http://www.metaproducts.com/download/logging.zip
Please extract and open the "logging.reg" file from this zip file. This will import necessary settings to the Download Express Registry entry.

Start your download. Download Express will create the log file in the downloading folder. It will have the same name as the downloaded file and the .LOG extension. When this problem repeats, please find the
corresponding log file, pack it using WinZip or similar application and email it to support@metaproducts.com with a short problem description.
Then you can use "Nologging.reg" file to switch off the logging feature.

Thanks,
Alexander

I just downloaded latest DE from this site last night; and installed on a fresh install of win2k on thinkpad t60p; and FF 1.5.0.11

My very first download with DE, it did the 99% stop thing....and left the yellow marker next to filename in windows explorer.

oddly enough, the file (an installer) ran fine and installed the software ok.

Out of 10 more downloads done today, 9 went to 100%, but one more stopped at 99%

What's amazing is that the PHP problem STILL isn't fixed...can't believe it....sigh...

90% of php download links download only the script.

9% download the file, but name it xxxxx.php...and even though it's downloading the real file, Resume is NOT supported.

1% actually work....correct filename...resume works...

But c'mon...it's been YEARS since this problem was first reported.

The only reason I downloaded the latest DE last night (a year newer than the one I had) was because I was SURE it'd be fixed by now.

sigh...
