We plan to add the workaround to the next version of Download Express.
In the meantime please download the updated version of DEP.EXE file from:
http://www.metaproducts.com/download/dep.exe
Please save it to the Download Express disk folder (usually, C:\Program Files\Download Express\,) overwriting the old version of this file. Windows OneCare should permit to add DEP.EXE to its allowed apps list.

there is a new version of one care, are you using it.
some other apps are having problems too.

I dont use onecare, but some people in the office updated to the latest version and it 'broke' some internet related apps'
One of them being a downloader (flashget I think)

I already use Download Express for some years. Just installed a new Windows XP Pro, now with One Care. Indeed I also found that Download Express did not function anymore. Indeed One Care Firewall denies even to install your program.
But after copying the new DEP.EXE it works fine again!
