Created unusable file with wrong name and left IE session hung-up

Using W98Se and IE5.5.4134...
Was attempting to get "acehtml5free.exe" from non-typical URL "http://freeware.acehtml.com/download.html?go=yes&id=1" via page/referrer "http://freeware.acehtml.com/download.html" , it created a full sized 3.49MB file named "freeware.ace" (WRONG name!) which when renamed to a ".exe", gets a "not a Win32 Applic" error...also the IE session is still left there, but hung, so I have to cancel it via Ctl-Alt-Del...Any clues?

this is my FIRST attempt using your program...not that encouraging...

THANKS for your very prompt reply! And I WAS impressed with the program as to use and speed! Even though it didn`t quite work... It`s my first time with a downloader so looking for a good one to use...Hope I gave you enough info to research my problem...

Follow-up: I tried it on another file/site with a more "normal" download link...file was correctly downloaded in both name and format...howver, the IE session was still left in a "hung" state, which I was able to close via Alt-F4 this time...

Follow-up part 2: I located a more "normal" link to desired file (acehtml5free.exe) via CNet link on vendor pages...which was "http://softwares.visicommedia.com/softwares/en/acehtml/acehtml5free.exe" so added it to project list and ...tried it...THAT file was correctly downloaded in both name and format...so it must have something to do with the funky link style used for other location...hope this helps your research!
