How is Download Express with large files?

I`m on a dial-up 56k connection and wish to download large files (several hundred mbs) such as Counter-strike 1.6. The problem is, with other download managers I usually result in a corrupted file that fails during installation (I recently tried CS 1.6 with DAP to no avail).
My question is, how does Dload Express deal with large files and slow connections? Will my large downloads work? Keep in mind my ISP disconnects me every 5 hours, so downloading usually gets cut off without warning. And also, are there any things I can do to minimize the risk of this happening (eg. tell the program to only open 1 connection to the server)? I really don`t want to go through trial and error with different download managers just to find out which has the best anti-corruption handling, so if anyone could share their discoveries with me I`d be most grateful.
Thanks,
Dhruv

Dear Dhruv,

Thank you for writing us.
The latest version of Download Express is quite reliable in downloading of large files. You can set the number of downloading threads using its Options dialog, Connection page. Please set the number of threads for High speed mode to 1 and click OK. Then please use for your downloads this slider position (High).

You may want to test Download Express work on a smaller download. To test download resuming please disconnect a modem connection with a half downloaded file and then connect again and resume download.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Just letting you know that Download Express worked great and downloaded the file without corruption regardless of the many times I kept pausing and resuming it. This is now my download manager of choice, a big thumbs up to the developers!!!
