I tried Download Express and although it is great in
that it is small, compact and unobstrusive, it does
fall short in some respects. In other words, it DOES
NOT CATCH links (redirected links and scripts) on many
sites.
For example, it failed to grab links at file download sites like
www.majorgeeks.com, www.betanews.com, and
www.fileflash.com. I frequently download at these sites and
as you can see, DE is of no use.
Ctrl+ALT integration also does not work as it downloads the .htm or
.php files instead of actual files.
Is there any way to make it grab those links? I would
appreciate anything that you can offer.
Thanks,
Kasauli

Thank you for writing us.
Download Express checks a filename extension when you click the link and
opens download dialog for monitoring file types only (Download Express
Options | Integration | Accept file types).
To grab redirected links and scripts at such sites Download Express has
Ctrl+Alt hot keys. Please try:
1. Open www.majorgeeks.com, then open any application details page
2. Click any download link under Download From section
3. Right after new page loading please depress Ctrl+Alt keys
4. Wait several seconds (this site asks you for this)
The Download Express` File Download dialog should appear.
Please write me about the result. Thank you.

In most cases these .php files will be renamed after the download beging. Please don`t change these names manually, just start the downloading.
We are developing the new integration way, which should work with such links
without any keyboard workarounds.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Alexander.
