Dowload Express Keeps crashing

I keep getting the following message whenever I try to download using DE (happens after I click the link and decide on the download location -- instead of the download box, I get the message as follows):

DEP: This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down:

If I am persistent, and keep clicking on the link, after about three or four repeated tries (usually), I will be lucky enough to get the Download Express box come on and the download will start.

I am using IE6 on Win98SE, on an Intel PIII Compaq Presario Notebook. The version of DE is the latest version from the site.

Apart from the above, I really like the program when it works -- especially the easy way it integrates into IE.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Rajeev

Dear Rajeev,

Thank you for your report. Could you please test the link right-click menu item "Download using Download Express"? Please write about results to support@metaproducts.com
As I can see, you use the DE 1.3.119 (You can see this number using DE About dialog)?

Sincerely,
Alexander.
