to get mass downloader to work with filesonic

I have ownded Mass Downloader for long time.
No problems with Hotfile, Rapidshare, Fileserve etc.

But, today, I cannot get it to work with www.filesonic.com

I will appreciate any input.

I did to to "site" setup screen and I did put in www.filesonic.com, my username and password.

No go.

What Internet browser do you use?
Did you log in to the premium section of filesonic in the browser?

just to make that a little more clear............

if i tell mass downloader to d'load.................

http://www.filesonic.com/file/73191505/learn_club_dance.part09.rar

it pops up a "save to" window and I then click "ok".

And then, all of a sudden, A NEW WINDOW POPS UP JUST AS THE D'LAOD ATTEMPTS TO START,
and the new window asks if I want to save the file as............

3533839595847837222.*


hmmmmmmmm...... sure got me scratchin my head............... ANYWAY............

i just alter "3533839595847837222.*" to "learn_club_dance.part09.rar", THEN IT WORKED.

BUT WHAT A HASTLE, I just gotta be doin something wrong.

I'm just using IE8 as always, I told site manager to log in to http://www.filesonic.com with my username and password.

Should be alll ok but nope !

good grief, now i cannot complete ANY d'load from filesonic.

after a short time of d'laoding, a message pops up saying............

"the file has been altered, do you want to download the new file"

i say ok and then I get a new file that simply says "link expired".


jeez, i gotta have somethin really wrong here,

What if you do not change the file name manually? In most cases Mass Downloader autorename file when it receives the new name from the server...

Please try to use just one downloading thread for this filesonic site (you can setup this in the same Site manager dialog.)
This "file has been altered" message happens because Mass Downloader receives the wrong data from the server in one of the downloading channels. Some sites still have problems with multichannel downloading.

looks like i got SOME news anyway.

if i turn off MD, i can d'laod as many as i want, all the time.

it's gotta be my settings for sure.

What about using of one downloading thread per file in Mass Downloader?

yup, tried that too.

Don't work.

The issue goes right back to the CORRECT file name asking me to confirm where to save to,
THEN as soon as I click ok, UP POPS ANOTHER box that says the file name to be saved IS NOW...
384585673262.* (or similar); which of course WILL NOT SAVE.


hmmmmmm....... lookin' like I ain't winnin' this one, but I KNOW it WILL get overcome.

The current build of Mass Downloader (can be downloaded from http://www.metaproducts.com/files/Massdown.zip) works with the Filesonic Premium account without any problem.

In order to download from Filesonic please add your Premium account details to the Mass Downloader Site Manager dialog for "filesonic.com" site. After this just copy file URL and paste it to Mass Downloader.

Please write me if you still have any problem.
