What integration method do you use? Please go to the Tools | Options | Integration | Browsers | MS Internet Explorer Integration | Use Method drop-down list and change its value to Alternative or Old.
Please write about the result.

XP Pro + SP2 + all the last updates until June 2009
1. Open the Windows Start button menu Run dialog (or press Win+R), type "regedit" and press Ok button
2. In the left panel of Registry editor please select HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MetaProducts\Mass Downloader node
3. In the Registry menu select Export menu item and save data to your hard drive, for example to c:\1.reg file
4. Please attach this file to email message and send it to support@metaproducts.com
Also you can try to delete all the subnodes starting with Size&Pos. Most likely it will fix the problem.
