I have another problem with DeskTool it is as follows: -
On opening the program (automatically when windows open) I get a report "An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past it's end" - this I do not understand.
When this event occurs the button bar is totally empty - I then copy my backup CFG file (please refer to my previous contact re backup cfg file) and all is well until the next time.
Are there any known conflicts with other programs that may affect this event?
All I have done to date is keep up to date with anti virus software.
Appreciate youor obseevations and advice.

Hello, i have the same problem.
I think it is an error during finishing of the programm.
Everytime i quit the programm the cfg file is updated,
also when nothing is changed in the config.
When you finish windows you can set a flag how long windows will wait for a programm to get finished. I think if this time is set to short Desktool startes to update the cfg and then it is cancelled by windows before it has finished writing the file.

So i think MetaProducts should change this so that the cfg-update only is written directly after a change has been made to cfg and not everytime the programm is finished.

With kind regards

Thank you! We will work on that in the next version of DeskTool.
