Hello,

Surfing around today for some new desktop enhancement programs, I came across your program, Desktool. I just want to say its a fantasic program, almost exactly what I have been looking for. However, I do have a couple requests that maybe you can address or let me know if they are not fesiable.

1) Skins - I skin every component of my desktop, so it would be great if you would allow for skins. the built in windows customization stuff is horrible because it screws up everything. Would it be really hard to make it skinable.....

2) Is there a way to add "My Computer", "Recycling Bin" and "Network Neighbourhood" to Desktool. I try to keep my desktop clean. If I could add them to DT then I would clear off my desktop completely.

:)

anyways I hope you still read these forums....I know alot of application developers put forums up and never read them. Thanks for taking the time to read my message.

if you could email me your response I would be appreciative.

We plan to add styles (skins) support in the next version of DeskTool.
Also I will try to make the addition of the system components ("My Computer", "Recycling Bin", etc.) easier.

Surely I read your messages and appreciate your help.
Thanks for your suggestions and interest in DeskTool.

Sergey -

Though I`m not truly an XP novice - and I do kind of dig this new taskbar - Im still not sure why I cannot add recycle bin - (and so many other otherwise permanent desktop items) to it...

Please help?!? I really don`t want to uninstall it but it`s maddening.

Thanks!

Mark

Hello Mark.
We plan to add support of system folders and components in the nearest release of DeskTool.
This will allow to add such oblects easy.

Now you can add to DeskTool the system folders (My Computer, Recycle Bin and ect.) by following out these steps:
1. Create Shortcut (*.lnk) for system shortcuts. Will choose system shortcut "Recycle Bin" and select the context menu item "Create Shortcuts".
2. Add created shortcut (*.lnk) to DeskTool.
- Using drag`n`drop select created shortcut and transfer on DeskTool.
- or Use "Add App.." button (Properties - page Buttons) in DeskTool and fill the form "Insert Application Buttons".
